Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer: 'Nothing like' Surface tablet
Microsoft, a company that until recently dominated the computing world, is experiencing what its boss Steve Ballmer is calling an "epic" moment.
It is preparing to put its first tablet computer, the Surface, on sale to the public on Friday 26 October, as well as its latest operating system, Windows 8.
Rory Cellan-Jones caught up with Mr Ballmer in Seattle, to find out what is at stake with this launch.
