Film studios win 'landmark' piracy case against Newzbin
The landmark case could set an important precedent
The High Court has ruled that BT should block its customers from using Newzbin 2, a website accused of "flagrant" copyright infringement.
It is the first time that an ISP has been ordered to block access to such a site.
Here's my report on the case.

While I agree that Newzbin 2 is not good for the future of entertainment, blocking it will make no difference. If Newzbin 2 don't find a way around the block (and they assure people they will), then another site will just crop up. Then another, then another.
The reason is obvious, there is no legal alternative to Newsbin 2 and until there is, I don't have any sympathy for movie studios.
