What will the introduction of 4G in 2012 mean for mobile users?


Next year will see an auction of the 4G mobile phone spectrum, with Ofcom today announcing a consultation into the bidding process.

What will the new network mean for mobile phone users?

Matthew Howett, a telecoms analyst, tells BBC Radio 5 live: "This is going to be one of the biggest auctions that we will ever see."

"The broadband providers are very interested in getting hold of this, in order to roll out more mobile broadband," Howett tells Wake Up To Money.
