Chinese astronauts could grow vegetables in outer space
Chinese astronauts are preparing to grow fresh vegetables on Mars and the moon after researchers successfully completed tests in Beijing.
State media suggests four kinds of vegetables have been grown in a special cabin that allows astronauts to develop stocks of air, water and food on space missions.
BBC Radio 5 live Up All Night spoke to physicist Ian O'Neill who is a space science producer at Discovery News in Los Angeles.
