Sesame: A look at Middle East particle accelerator
Despite the recent violence in the Middle East, plans for a new research centre to be shared by scientists from across the region are still going ahead in Jordan.
The particle accelerator, known as Sesame, is backed by countries that are openly hostile to each other, including Iran and Israel.
Here, the BBC's science editor David Shukman takes a look around the facility, which is due to open in 2015.
