Inside the Bloodhound supersonic car's rocket

Help

The huge hybrid rocket which it is hoped will blast the Bloodhound SuperSonic Car to a new world land speed record in 2014 will be fired up for the first time in the UK on Wednesday.

The test of Bloodhound's rocket system will take place inside a Tornado hangar at Newquay airport.

This computer animation shows how the system is designed to work.
