Space shuttle arrives at new home
Retired Nasa space shuttle Discovery has arrived at its new home, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F Udvar-Hazy Center, just outside Washington DC.
Discovery was the workhorse of the shuttle fleet, carrying out 39 missions and travelling 10,000kms further than the distance from the Sun to Mars during its 27-year career.
Astronauts including John Glenn took part in the welcoming ceremony, in which the shuttle received full honours.
