James Cameron: Deepest seabed 'like another planet'

Help

Film director James Cameron has returned to the surface after becoming the first person in 50 years to reach the deepest point in the ocean, the Mariana Trench.

Speaking to the BBC's Rebecca Morelle, he said the journey was like visiting another planet.

"It turns out to be quite a sterile, almost desert-like place," he said.
