How to fit a GPS collar on a bin-raiding brown bear

Slovakia's brown bears are a rare conservation triumph - around 1,000 live there. But with success comes a price.

While most bears stay in the forests, some have lost their fear of humans and have started to invade the villages in search of food.

Now conservationists have decided to take radical action. They have decided to fit one of these so-called "problem bears" with a GPS collar in a bid to try and understand its behaviour.

Graham Bishop, who is working on Project Bear with conservationists from the High Tatras National Park, explains the tricky procedure of tagging a large, wild bear.
