Gagarin 50 years on: Inside Russia's Star City

Help

Fifty years ago, the Soviet Union became the first country to put a man in space when Yuri Gagarin completed one orbit of the Earth and returned a hero.

Gagarin trained for the flight in the same place that today's cosmonauts prepare for going into space - at Star City, outside of Moscow.

The BBC's Steve Rosenberg was given access to the training centre to have a look around.
