Polar Bear: Spy on the Ice reveals stealth of the hunt
A young polar bear has been filmed carefully stalking a seal, using tactics which highlight the bear's high level of intelligence.
Polar Bear: Spy on The Ice used specially designed "spy-cams" to get as close as possible to the animals without disturbing them.
The result was a glimpse of one of the Earth's most curious and intelligent creatures using all its skills to hunt a seal in the hope of making it his next meal.
Polar Bear: Spy on The Ice is broadcast on BBC One at 2000 GMT on Wednesday 29 December - or afterwards on BBC iPlayer.
