Putney Bridge reopensstandard
Putney Bridge has reopened this morning, two weeks ahead of schedule, after undergoing £1.5m worth of repairs.
The Grade II listed bridge, which stretches over the Thames, had its Victorian features refurbished and underwent repairs to protect it against water penetration.

Putney Bridge is due to reopen on 26 September following a £1.5m repair project.
Wandsworth Council said drainage improvement underneath and within the bridge structure still needed to be completed but it is expected to open two weeks ahead of schedule.
