Richard Thomson has been elected as the MP for Gordon, beating Conservative Colin Clark by 819 votes.
The Scottish National Party overturned a 2,607 vote majority to take the formerly Conservative-held seat.
James Oates of the Liberal Democrats came third and Labour's Heather Herbert came fourth.
Voter turnout was up by 1.9 percentage points since the last general election.
Nearly 56,000 people, 70.2% of those eligible to vote, went to polling stations across the area on Thursday, in the first December general election since 1923.
All four candidates keep their deposits, after receiving more than 5% of the votes.
