Lisa Cameron has been re-elected as the MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven & Lesmahagow, with an increased majority.
The Scottish National Party candidate beat Labour's Monique McAdams by 13,322 votes, more than double the majority at the 2017 election.
Gail MacGregor of the Conservative Party came third and Liberal Democrat Ewan McRobert came fourth.
Voter turnout was up by 2.1 percentage points since the last general election.
More than 56,000 people, 69.4% of those eligible to vote, went to polling stations across the area on Thursday, in the first December general election since 1923.
Two of the six candidates, Erica Bradley-Young (Green) and David Mackay (UKIP), lost their £500 deposits after failing to win 5% of the vote.

At the count in East Kilbride, a former senior Labour figure - who did not want to be named - told Catriona Renton they blamed Jeremy Corbyn and Richard Leonard for the poor prediction in the exit poll.
They added: "Labour needs to learn very valuable lessons and get closer to the people."
Three constituencies will be counted at the John Wright Sports Centre in East Kilbride: Lanark & Hamilton East, Rutherglen & Hamilton West and East Kilbride, Strathaven & Lesmahagow.
