Bosnia's first World Cup ends in defeat - and a party

25 June 2014 Last updated at 01:35 BST

The World Cup may be ending early for Bosnia-Hercegovina - the team lost both their opening games and cannot qualify even if they win their final group game today - but the players and fans will never forget their first trip to football's global party.

Dino Becirovic, a German-born Bosnian American who moved to the US just before his homeland became engulfed in conflict in the early 1990s, came to Brazil with his father and brother.

For the BBC's Real Fans series, he told Franz Strasser about watching his country play Argentina in the Maracana stadium and why, for this tournament at least, winning does not matter as much as taking part.
