Chinese wine put to taste test

Chinese wine has long had a poor reputation even in its own country, but there are signs that this may be slowly changing.

The country is currently the world's eighth largest producer of wine and predicted to be sixth largest by 2016.

And Jie Bei Lan, a tiny winery in China's northern Ningxia province, famously beat a host of French rivals in 2011 to collect an international gold medal for its Bordeaux-style Grand Reserve wine from 2009.

Beijing Correspondent Celia Hatton joined wine blogger Jim Boyce to try some of the Chinese vintages on offer.
