Will Virginia voters back Obama again?

When Barack Obama won the state of Virginia in the 2008 presidential election it was the first time the Commonwealth had plumped for the Democratic candidate since 1968.

The swing away from the Republican party, which delivered the state for the president, has been strongest in the towns in the north close to Washington DC.

Shortly after Obama's victory four years ago, BBC Mundo correspondents Lourdes Heredia and Natalio Cosoy visited one of those former Republican strongholds, Manassas, to hear what voters made of the election outcome.

Ahead of the first presidential debate of the 2012 campaign, the BBC's William Marquez went back to meet those same people. How have their lives have changed during the economic downturn and how do they feel about Barack Obama now he is president?
