African American women struggle with HIV epidemic in DC
The International AIDS conference is taking place in a city with one of the worst HIV epidemics in the world.

A majority of people with the disease are black. A recent study suggests that in the worst affected neighbourhoods as many as one in eight African-American women have the disease.
