Vote to bring alcohol into dry US town divides locals

21 March 2012 Last updated at 12:53 GMT

The town of Williamsburg, Kentucky, is divided over a vote on whether to bring alcohol into the community.

Williamsburg has been a dry town since the time of prohibition.

Some locals call the decision a "crucial moral issue", while others say the law is outdated.

Passionate campaigns for and against the change have split the town in two.

In the days before the vote, the BBC's Matt Danzico and Brian Wheeler visited Williamsburg to speak to representatives from the two opposing camps.
