Louis Theroux in Miami mega-jail's higher security area


Louis Theroux goes into one of America's toughest prisons, Miami's mega-jail which has around 7,000 inmates. They are kept in cells, housing up to 24 prisoners, living behind metal bars on steel bunks and sharing a single shower and two toilets.

Louis visits the 4th floor of the prison where some of the most violent and dangerous prisoners are kept.

The two-part documentary, Louis Theroux: Miami Mega Jail starts on BBC Two at 21.00 BST on Sunday 22 May 2011 with part two on Sunday 29 May 2011. It will also be available via iPlayer.
