Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is "higher", and we begin with a photo taken by Emma Jenkins of herself and a friend above the clouds while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Holly Harwood: "When visiting a small bar in Hoi An, Vietnam, my friend and I were intrigued to see markings on the walls. When we looked closer, they were records of the flooding levels for the previous years. Sadly, each time the waters have got higher and higher until the bar was under 1.5m of water each wet season."
Lucas Chilczuk: "Dancer Kimberly Giannelli getting some air during a stage rehearsal."
Blerta Zabergja: "The shot was taken from the castle in Prizren, Kosovo, and it is a part of a photo series I did called In love with the top... Heels over head!"
Amy Shore: "I took this photograph whilst in a hot air balloon earlier this year over Croft, Leicestershire. Everything looks so surreal from above. My parents bought me the flight as a gift for my 21st birthday so I took my mother with me. We both said how brilliant it was and how we would do it again. The champagne at the end certainly topped the experience!"
Fiona Bywaters: "A competitor leaps from the Stari Most in Mostar during the annual diving contest. Only the most skilled divers dare participate and plunge into the freezing waters of the Neretva river in a competition inaugurated in 1968 and interrupted when the bridge was destroyed during the war in 1993."
Laura McGregor: "Statue looks up towards the towering Shard at London Bridge."
Will Clarkson: "Whilst climbing in Kent recently, I took this shot of a friend reaching the top."
Marcelo Lino Morales-Yokobori photographed acrobats performing during festivities to mark Uruguay's Independence Day in Montevideo.
Davo Muttiah: "The Blue Angels performing at Andrews Airforce Base, USA."
And finally a photo taken by Claire Hopkin of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Next week the theme is "stronger", and the deadline for your entries is 14 August. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org. Further details and terms can be found by following the link below this gallery.
