Readers' pictures on the theme plastic
Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is plastic and we begin with a photo by Emerson Gatpo of high five hand stirrers in a coffee shop.
Santosh Nannuru: "Plastic cubes floating in bubbling water at a display in Toronto Airport."
Ratul Mukherjee: "My friend Surupa playing with a Rubik's Cube. In the hands of young or old, this little piece of toy is still one of the top-selling puzzle games in the world. I am yet to solve it, but haven't given up yet."
Glenn Simpkin: "Looking into a blue plastic water bottle with only a few drops left."
Raizulli Nolasco: "Rice farmers in Alilem, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, use plastic bags as raincoats while they plant."
Martha Carolina Rollano
Martha Carolina Rollano: "This was taken last May in Wurzburg, Germany, when the city was preparing the duck race charity event."
Samina Farooq: "Reflections of a dark past. The more you do bad, the more black your heart becomes, and the time may come when cleaning it with mere water will not be enough."
Virgo Block photographed three plastic pegs in red white and blue formation to be used for drying Olympic kits and towels.
Luke Fisher: "Plastic tags used as decorations in New York City."
And finally a photo taken by Jessica Hayne. Next week the theme is boundaries and the deadline for your entries is 10 July. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to email@example.com. Further details and terms can be found by following the link below this gallery.
