Swapping the office for the front line

Amanda Wheeler swapped her day job as communication manager at a global PR company for a tour in Afghanistan for which she received the Operational Service Medal.

Sgt Wheeler, 37, who has been a member of the Territorial Army for 10 years, served in Lashkar Gah where she was in charge of the light-weight Counter Mortar Radar and then in Nad Ali. Here she talks about her time in Afghanistan and the adjustments she has made since her return to office life.
