A woman with dementia has spoken about how she was diagnosed with the condition on her 55th birthday.

Joy Watson, from Salford, was wished a happy birthday by the nurse before being told she had Alzheimer's.

Mrs Watson told BBC Radio 5 live's Shelagh Fogarty that because of her age, she chooses to wear a badge highlighting her condition as people are otherwise "very impatient".
