Police probe patient death as 10 Cwm Taf staff suspended

Ten members of staff have been suspended and police are investigating following the death of an elderly hospital patient.

Cwm Taf University Health Board said the suspensions from Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, Mountain Ash, were "precautionary".

The 88-year-old died at Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil, on Wednesday, after suffering an "unexplained and serious injury" at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon.
