A Doncaster woman who lived with a 2kg tumour on her neck has finally had it removed after 20 years.

Joyce Haigh, 79, said "fear" kept her from seeing doctors about the growth, which became as large as a football.

Her surgeon, Mr Muhammad Quraishi, said it was the largest tumour he had seen in his 20-year career.

Mrs Haigh told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "I don't know what I thought it was to be honest."
