Baby left malnourished after medics miss cleft palate
A mother was unable to properly feed her newborn son for four days, after doctors failed to noticed he had been born with a cleft palate.
Elizabeth Lewis said her brother-in-law eventually spotted the gap in baby's son Tomas mouth, and alerted medics.
"I dread to think what could have happened. He hadn't fed for four days and was very malnourished when he got the diagnosis," she said.
