Compound similar to cannabis to be tested on cancer patients
A drug developed from the same class of chemicals as a compound found in cannabis will be tested on patients with advanced cancer.
The trial will investigate the potential cannabinoids have for treating a range of solid tumours.
BBC Radio 5 liveMorning Reports spoke to the lead researcher on the project, Ruth Plummer, who is a professor of Experimental Cancer Medicine at the University of Newcastle.
