Mother talks about child's whooping cough scare
Gemma Price talks about her how her daughter Zoe caught whooping cough at the age of four weeks and was then in hospital for a month.
Hundreds of thousands of pregnant women across the UK are to be offered a whooping cough vaccine to protect babies from an escalating outbreak of the disease.
The injection, available from Monday, should boost a mother's defences, which are then passed onto the baby.
Ms Price told the BBC that the experience of seeing her baby turn blue and unable to breath was "the worst thing in the world". She said that if a vaccination had been offered to her when pregnant, she would have had it done.
