'Striking lack of evidence' sports products work
If the Olympics has inspired you to get fit this summer, you might want to think twice before shelling out for sports drinks or high tech trainers.
A joint investigation by the British Medical Journal and the BBC's Panorama programme has found that there is a "striking lack of evidence" to support to performance-enhancing claims made by many popular products.
Dr Carl Henegan from the University of Oxford's Centre for Evidence Based Medicine explains what they found in their investigation.
