Burnham: Lansley has created chaos with NHS plans

Help

The shadow health secretary has accused the government of creating chaos by pushing on with its Health and Social Care Bill despite mounting opposition.

Speaking to the BBC, Andy Burnham said that the Health Secretary Andrew Lansley was "all over the place" in relation to the controversial legislation, which sets out reforms for the health service in England.

Mr Burnham's comments came after a health select committee report warned that the overhaul was hindering the ability of the NHS to make the efficiency savings that it needs to safeguard its future.
