Meeting face transplant patient, Mitch Hunter

Mitch's face was mostly burned away in an accident 10 years ago. Despite repeated plastic surgery, he was left badly disfigured and children were often frightened of looking at him.
Mitch Hunter's story is told by Michael Mosley in Frontline Medicine: Rebuilding Lives which was broadcast on BBC Two on Sunday 27 November 2011 repeated as indicated. Watch via iPlayer (UK only) at the above link.
