Dr Sarah Wollaston: 'Competition does have role in NHS'

Help

The Prime Minister is set to explain how he is going to change course after seeing the proposals from an independent review on the NHS.

One MP who will be watching with particular interest is a former GP , Conservative Dr Sarah Wollaston, who earlier this year compared the government's original plans to ''tossing a hand grenade'' into the NHS.

She said competition does have a role in the NHS but it should only be where it would improve services for patients.
