ME 'virus link' found in children


Scientists in Scotland have found further evidence that ME - or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - has a physical cause. Blood tests conducted on children with ME, have uncovered abnormalities in their white blood cells, indicating that they were fighting off a viral infection.

Jozef Mackie was diagnosed with the condition when he was 11 after being labelled a "school refuser". He told the BBC that living with the illness was 'frustrating'.
