Teenage author's publishing success

A 19-year-old student from Kent has landed a publishing deal for a book that she wrote whilst she was doing her A-Levels.

Alice Oseman's novel "Solitaire" is a coming-of-age story about a schoolgirl who feels disconnected from her friends - and was the subject of a bidding war between publishers.
