BBC News marks 60 years of television broadcasts

On 5 July 1954 the BBC broadcast its first televised news bulletin.

In the 60 years since, the nature of TV news has changed beyond recognition, from a single nightly bulletin to 24-hour rolling news channels.

This montage takes a quick look through the archives and some familiar faces from six decades of broadcast journalism.
