Folk duo write song defending public breastfeeding

3 June 2014 Last updated at 16:40 BST

A mother who was criticised for breastfeeding her baby in a cafe has responded by writing a protest song.

Sparrowfolk singer Juliet Moody, from Canberra, was so incensed by the man's comments that she and bandmate Catherine Crowley penned the song "Ruin Your Day."

Their music video has since become a viral hit, getting more than half a million hits online around the world.

Juliet told BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams: "We feel that it is just a natural choice to make and... it would be lovely if people were a bit more supportive."
