Paul Weller's modern classics

30 May 2014 Last updated at 07:16 BST

Paul Weller is getting a bit nostalgic, releasing an album that looks back at the last 15 years of his career.

The compilation, More Modern Classics, is released on 2 June, a week after the musician's 56th birthday.

Weller split up The Jam at the age of 24 before forming The Style Council and then embarking on hugely successful solo career which influenced a generation of Britpop acts.

The BBC's Colin Paterson caught up with him as he prepared for a concert at London's Bush Hall.
