Jonathan Kent: 'A new energy in American theatre'

11 May 2014 Last updated at 12:34 BST

In recent years, Imelda Staunton's stage success has been shared with the director Jonathan Kent.

He directed her in a rave revival of Sweeney Todd and they are now reunited for a funny but gritty American play called Good People, which has just transferred to London's West End.

Actress Imelda Staunton and director Jonathan Kent talk to the BBC's Andrew Marr.

You can watch the Andrew Marr show in full on BBC iPlayer.
