Meet the human hamster wheel artists

5 March 2014 Last updated at 13:07 GMT

New York artist Alex Schweder talks about his latest piece of performance art, living inside a giant hamster wheel.

Ward Shelley and Schweder will be living inside the wheel for 10 days to illustrate people's interdependence.

The 25-foot-tall wood and steel structure is equipped with everything the duo need from beds, a kitchen and a toilet.

The two men must co-ordinate their movements while rotating the wheel, or risk being thrown off.
