26 February 2014 Last updated at 12:34 GMT

The red carpet for Sunday's academy awards was rolled out late Tuesday evening in Los Angeles.

Organisers arranged for it to be laid a day early due to Wednesday's threat of rain.

Approximately 1,500 man hours are required to lay the 25,000 square feet of regal rug.

The 86th annual Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre in LA on Sunday night.
