Singer and actress Petula Clark has paid tribute to Shirley Temple, who died on Monday aged 85.

Temple was a huge child star in the 1930s, starring in hit movies like Bright Eyes and Stand Up and Cheer.

Clark, who was often referred to as 'Britain's Shirley Temple,' told BBC Radio 5 live's Drive: "She was a really, truly talented child."

"It's great she did have another life but I'm sure people would look at her and try to find that little girl in her still."
