'Amy told me to set up foundation' says Mitch Winehouse

Help

Amy Winehouse's father says the idea for a charity to help disadvantaged children came to him "almost immediately" after he received the news of the singer's death.

Mitch set up The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which operates in Camden, north London, where the Back to Black star lived, after "her voice came into my head".

He also described her Brit nomination as "incredible". She is the first person to be selected posthumously.
