Can The Hobbit live up to the hype?

With the much-anticipated first instalment of The Hobbit set to hit the big screen in the UK, the film's stars have been speaking about their roles in the trilogy.

Based on Tolkien's 1937 book, the film promises to take viewers on an epic fantasy adventure.
