BBC's first radio broadcast and other highlights
A composition by Blur frontman Damon Albarn will be played to radio listeners around the world on Wednesday to mark 90 years of BBC broadcasting.
2LO Calling is a "snapshot of the airwaves" featuring iconic sounds such as Bertrand Russell in Morse code.
BBC 5 Live played their own highlights from the years, beginning with the first ever radio broadcast by King George V.
The unique simultaneous broadcast of BBC stations of Radio Re-united can be heard via the BBC News website at 17:33 GMT.
