Robbie Williams tops UK single and album charts
Robbie Williams has topped the UK singles and album charts with his song Candy and aptly titled album Take The Crown.
Williams enjoyed a similar feat in 2001 when his single Something Stupid hit the top spot during the seven-week reign of his easy listening covers album Swing When You're Winning.
Williams said last weekend: "So chuffed... Good work Team Williams."
Last week, it was reported that Radio 1 had dropped Williams from its playlist.
A spokesperson for Radio 1 said: "We playlist songs that are relevant to our young audience."
However, new breakfast DJ Nick Grimshaw told Channel 5 news "I don't know if he's now for a Radio 1 audience.
"To 13 and 14-year-olds, he's not relevant."
