Help

War Horse author Michael Morpurgo has hinted his next story might be based around the real life story of a wartime carrier pigeon.

While waiting for his BBC Breakfast interview, the author heard a news story about the discovery of a World War II carrier pigeon in a Surrey chimney, along with its coded message.

The author also thanked director Steven Spielberg after sales of his book War Horse saw a dramatic rise following the release of the Oscar-nominated film version.
