Talking Movies: Fact v fiction on the campaign trail
As the US prepares to take to the polls, a new film by politically "progressive" director Grace Lee aims to blur the line between fiction and reality on the Republican primary campaign trail.
Janeane from Des Moines follows an actress posing as a real conservative Christian voter from America's heartland in her quest to meet the candidates and choose between them. But as she does so, her life begins to fall apart.
Her portrayal saw her meet Mitt Romney in character, as Talking Movies' Tom Brook reports.
Talking Movies is broadcast on BBC World News on Saturday at 13:30 GMT and Sunday at 00:30, 07:30 and 20:30 GMT.
