Salma Hayek defends violence in new film, Savages
Director Oliver Stone tackles the issue of brutal Mexican drug cartels involved in trafficking across the border of the United States in his latest film, Savages.
The film stars Salma Hayek and Benicio del Toro.
Ms Hayek told 5 live's Richard Bacon that the violence in the film was justified because people who take drugs need "to know that they are contributing to a market with a lot of murdering in it".
