Joe McElderry 'finds direction' writing new songs

Former X Factor winner Joe McElderry scored a number one with his debut single after his X Factor win in 2009 but he was later dropped from Simon Cowell's label.

The singer went on to win another talent show Popstar to Operastar and continued his music career.

McElderry's says he has now "found a direction" and has for the first time written his own material for his fourth album, Here's What I Believe.
